Timpani
The timpani is one of the biggest instrument banks found in True Strike. You will find an extensive list of playing techniques: up to 6 dynamics, sustained and dampened notes, tremolo, tremolo crescendo in three lengths, crescendo-decrescendo and hard mallet fortissimo. 8Dio Studio Orchestral Percussion is a solidly sampled collection of six orchestral percussion instruments. This unique collection contains first-class marimbu, glockenspiel, xylophone, vibraphone, molehills and tubular bells.
All instruments were deeply sampled with an extensive range of articulations. Firstly, you have the opportunity to choose the type of hammer that you want to play. We recorded both soft / felt mallets and hard wood, which reveals very different tones in the instruments. Secondly, we recorded the instruments with brushes and bows, which gives a number of other articulations. We also recorded a tremolo for instruments.
But just as importantly, we recorded all the instruments with our new Groove Sampling ™ method. Groove Samples lets you play instruments like you can’t use traditional multisamples. Samples give a completely smooth and natural sound in percussion. We recorded Groove samples in three different tempo and multi-layer layers. In fact, there is nothing like them, and this patented method is the property of 8Dio sample collections.
In addition, we recorded everything through a variety of microphones, with three main provisions (Close, Middle & Room). Everything has been processed through the NEVE user console, giving you the best possible sound. Studio Orchestral Percussion is designed with the convenience of the game and ease of use. All articulations and game styles are easily accessible from our built-in browser system and with just one click.
We also included a new two-layer FX system. The first one is our external FX system, which gives you control over the trans-gate, filters, pitch, delay, compression and our new texture convolutional delay. It allows you to take dozens of new convolutions and use them as delay components. We also included our new Chaos FX engine, which gives you control over things like equalizer, phasing, distortion, stereo delay and additional convolutional reverb.
